After War Gundam X
After the 7th Space War leaves Earth devastated, the conflict between the Earth Federation and the Space Revolutionary Army has reshaped the planet. The Revolutionary forces sent hundreds of space colonies crashing down, triggering a nuclear winter that lasted seven years. The Federation fell, while the forces in space could not carry their invasion to Earth. Fifteen years later, in After War 0015, a New Federation is trying to impose order as colonial leaders rebuild their strength beyond the planet.
Into this unstable world comes fifteen-year-old Garrod Ran, who discovers an old Federation mobile suit: Gundam X. He uses the machine to support the Vulture ship Freeden as it struggles against the powers seeking control and tries to stop the mistakes of the past from being repeated. Garrod's discovery places him at the center of a fragile balance between a recovering Earth and leaders in space preparing to regain their influence.
Blending science fiction, mecha, and action, the series explores the consequences of a catastrophic war and the danger of allowing its causes to return. Its setting contrasts a damaged Earth with space colonies rebuilding their strength, giving the conflict a strong postwar atmosphere. This finished 1996 TV series contains 39 episodes. Start with episode 1 to follow Garrod's discovery and the struggle surrounding Gundam X.
