BLUE GENDER · BLUE GENDER

In a future close to our own, humanity no longer rules its home planet. The Blue—bug-like aliens—have spread across Earth and driven people from the top of the natural order. Humans have built Second Earth, a space station meant to shelter them while they prepare for a possible return. Yuji Kaido, preserved in cryogenic sleep because of an illness called B-Cells, is awakened for a mission that places him at the center of that struggle.

What begins as a recovery mission quickly becomes far more dangerous. A group of soldiers travels to Earth to bring Yuji back, but their route to Second Earth does not unfold as planned. Alongside fighters from the station, Yuji encounters the terror of a bloody war and the relentless pressure of simply staying alive. Their larger goal is to take Earth back, yet the conflict raises a harder question: can humanity win without losing the qualities that make it human?

Blending sci-fi, mecha, adventure, and action, the series frames survival as both a physical battle and a test of identity. Its ruined-Earth setting, hostile alien presence, and divided human refuge create a stark atmosphere, while Yuji’s awakening gives the story a personal point of entry. The struggle between reclaiming a home and preserving humanity adds weight to its combat-driven premise.
