Twenty-nine-year-old manga creator Satoru Fujinuma possesses an involuntary gift dubbed Revival, which pulls him back briefly in time right before disasters strike. Everything spirals out of control when he faces false accusations for the murder of a loved one. Instead of reversing just a few moments, the strange phenomenon thrusts him eighteen years into the past, returning him to 1988 as an elementary school child. There, he uncovers ties between his current nightmare and the long-ago abduction and slaying of his lonely classmate, Kayo Hinazuki.

Driven by the urge to correct past horrors, Satoru works to rewrite history, shield Kayo from danger, and safeguard the people he cherishes in the present. The narrative weaves psychological tension with urgent detective work, keeping viewers guessing about who is truly responsible for both crimes.

First broadcast in 2016, this finished TV series tells its complete mystery across 12 tightly constructed episodes.
