Fate/Grand Order: First Order
At Chaldea, an organization devoted to protecting humanity’s timeline, an impossible crisis emerges: the future they have been monitoring suddenly cannot be found. The result is alarming—humanity is set to end in 2017. Attention turns to Fuyuki, a provincial town in Japan identified as the possible source of the catastrophe. Chaldea therefore dispatches an investigation with permission to erase the abnormality if necessary, beginning a quest tied to the Holy Grail and the Grand Order.
As a one-part fantasy, drama, and action story, First Order combines a large-scale question about humanity’s survival with a focused mission centered on Fuyuki. Its mood moves between ominous uncertainty and urgent resolve: the disappearance of an observed future turns investigation into a race against extinction. The singularity premise gives the adventure a clear purpose, while the Holy Grail connection adds a legendary dimension to Chaldea’s attempt to correct history. The special format keeps that setup concentrated rather than spread across a long run.
Released in 2016, this finished anime is a single-episode special. Start with episode 1: it presents Chaldea’s mission, the Fuyuki singularity, and the stakes surrounding humanity’s survival in one focused entry.
