Gintama: THE VERY FINAL

Gintama: THE FINAL · 銀魂 THE FINAL

After the Tendoshuu's assault on O-Edo Central Terminal, Edo has spent two years living with the consequences. The Yorozuya—Gintoki Sakata and his companions—are no longer together, while Gintoki searches across Earth for signs that Utsuro may return. His investigation follows the planet’s ley lines and the traces of another man’s Altana, drawing him back toward a danger that reaches far beyond one city.

When Gintoki crosses paths with Tendoshuu survivors, he discovers they are still pursuing immortality. Back in Edo, the reunited Shinsengumi join forces with the Yorozuya to strike the occupied Central Terminal. Their battle becomes a race against a volatile threat: Altana taken from the wreckage of the Tendoshuu vessel could explode. Edo, and the wider world, depend on the outcome.

Built as a Comedy and Action feature, the film balances irreverent energy with an ending shaped by loyalty, memory, and the hope of protecting what comes next. Its emotional center is the bond between Shouyou Yoshida and the students he once taught: former pupils reunite to honor his wishes, confront the weight of their shared past, and fight for the future. Humor and high-stakes conflict occupy the same battlefield.

Released in 2021, Gintama: THE VERY FINAL is a finished movie with one episode. It is the third film adaptation covering the remainder of the Silver Soul arc and serves as the series finale. Because it closes this story, it is best placed after the preceding Gintama entries rather than treated as a starting chapter.
