Lupin ZERO

Before the name Lupin III carried a notorious reputation, he was a young boy moving through the streets of Japan in the 1960s. The country is in the midst of an economic boom, yet his story is headed toward villainhood. Lupin ZERO follows the early steps that shape a future gentleman thief, asking how this child reached that path and what he was thinking along the way. It presents a previously hidden beginning while keeping the focus on his transformation.

Blending action, comedy, and adventure, the series balances lively movement with a nostalgic look at a formative era. Its appeal comes from watching a young boy stand at the start of a path that leads to villainhood, while the setting gives the story a distinct period feel. The series is a brand-new original tale, drawing on Young Lupin III from the original manga. That combination connects the familiar figure of Lupin III with an unexplored beginning, presenting his early journey through an action-comedy-adventure lens.
