Macross Dynamite 7

After the events of Macross 7, Basara leaves Fire Bomber and heads to Zola, where he encounters Elma, an enthusiastic supporter of the band. The planet’s space whales are in danger: poachers, including Elma’s father Graham, intend to kill them. Basara must draw on his Spiritia powers again to protect the creatures, bringing music and a high-stakes confrontation together.

Music sits alongside science fiction, mecha action, adventure, and comedy in this story. Its central conflict gives Basara’s return to Spiritia powers a clear purpose, while Elma’s connection to Fire Bomber ties the planet’s immediate danger to the band he has left behind. The threatened whales add a distinct focus to the adventure on Zola.

Macross Dynamite 7 is a finished OVA with 4 episodes. Begin with its first episode for Basara’s departure and arrival on Zola; the story follows his encounter with Elma and the threat facing the whales.
