Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz

After the war between Earth and its colonies, the Gundam pilots try to leave combat behind: Heero, Duo, Trowa and Quatre send their mobile suits toward the sun. Relena Darlian now serves as deputy minister of the Earth Sphere Unified Nation, but peace proves uncertain. When Relena is kidnapped, a faction led by Marimeia Khushrenada, daughter of the late Treize Khushrenada, emerges with the backing of the Barton Foundation. Wufei, pilot of Gundam Nataku, has joined that cause. With global domination at stake, the pilots must return to their machines and confront a threat that could undo the calm they hoped to protect.

Blending science fiction, mecha and action, the story centers on the difficult shift from war to peace. Its conflict brings questions of loyalty and the cost of renewed fighting into a struggle over the fate of the Earth Sphere. The contrast between the pilots’ attempt to move on and the return of large-scale danger gives this continuation a focused, tense feel.
