Mushi-Shi

Mushishi · 蟲師

Primitive entities known as Mushi dwell all around us, detached from human ideas of good and evil. They take numerous shapes, mimicking everyday flora, strange illnesses, or fleeting atmospheric phenomena, yet most people remain entirely blind to their presence. A silver-haired specialist named Ginko travels from town to town following strange rumors, seeking to grasp their true role in the greater hierarchy of living things.

Merging fantasy intrigue with a patient slice of life rhythm, the story approaches the unknown with deep curiosity rather than conflict. Its quiet journey unfolds as a contemplation on existence, where every encounter uncovers a subtle harmony between humanity, mysterious organisms, and the natural world.
