Oreimo
At home, Kyousuke Kousaka—an entirely ordinary older brother—finds an erotic game that belongs to Kirino, the sister everyone sees as nearly flawless. She earns outstanding grades, has striking looks, and works professionally as a model with her best friend, Ayase Aragaki, to pay her own expenses. The discovery puts Kirino’s carefully protected reputation in danger, so she makes Kyousuke promise to keep quiet. In return, she draws him into the anime and eroge interests she has kept hidden.
That promise changes the siblings’ everyday relationship and gives Kyousuke an unfamiliar place in Kirino’s private world. Through her, he meets Ruri Gokou, a gothic lolita, and Saori Makishima, an otaku who wears glasses. Ayase adds another point of tension: she dislikes dishonesty and has no patience for otaku interests, without knowing what Kirino is concealing. As Kyousuke becomes increasingly involved, protecting the secret grows more difficult.
Comedy and slice-of-life storytelling shape the series around an unusual family secret, the gap between public image and private interests, and the awkward connections that grow from sharing a hidden side of yourself. Its central contrast is especially distinctive: a high-achieving model with an impeccable reputation brings her average brother into a world of eroge and anime, while the people around her see only part of who she is.
