Plunderer
In a post-apocalyptic society, every person carries a Count that marks their identity. The number can represent something as different as distance walked or compliments received, and reaching zero brings the threat of being cast into the abyss. In the Alcian calendar’s year 305, Hina takes up the mission left by her mother, whose Count has fallen to zero: find the Legendary Red Baron. Her search leads her to Licht, a swordsman who keeps half his face concealed and tries to conceal his own identity. His exceptionally low Count has earned him a reputation as a degenerate, making him an uneasy companion for Hina’s journey.
Blending action with fantasy, Plunderer builds its world around a striking idea: a person’s identity and fate are measured through a number tied to life itself. That rule gives the adventure a clear sense of danger while keeping Hina’s search focused on trust, hidden identity, and the consequences of a Count reaching zero. The post-apocalyptic setting adds a stark backdrop to the story’s journey, while the contrast between Hina’s purpose and Licht’s guarded, disreputable image creates its central tension.
Plunderer is a finished TV series from 2020 with 24 episodes. Begin with episode 1 to follow Hina’s mission from its first step and meet the half-masked swordsman whose low Count makes him an unexpected figure in her search.
