Promare

Thirty years ago, a world-changing fire tore through civilization, destroying half the planet and leaving behind the Burnish, people changed by a mutation that lets them make and direct flames. To contain blazes linked to these fire-wielders, the Burning Rescue squad sends in Galo, its hotheaded new recruit. Armed with Matoi-Tech, a tool named for firefighting banners, Galo soon crosses paths with Lio, the leader of the Burnish terrorist group Mad Burnish. Their encounter sets the movie’s central conflict in motion.

Action, mecha, and sci-fi elements give Promare a sharp premise: emergency responders face people who can wield fire while a rookie rescuer is pulled into a confrontation with a dangerous group. Fire is both a practical threat and the Burnish’s defining power, placing rescue, mutation, and opposing sides at the heart of the story. Its movie format keeps the focus on Galo, Lio, Burning Rescue, and Mad Burnish as their paths collide.
