Trinity Blood
In a future scarred by Armageddon, humans and vampires remain locked in conflict. Abel Nightroad, a priest serving the Vatican, is also a crusnik: a vampire who feeds on other vampires. He works with the AX, a special operations unit led by Cardinal Catherina Sforza, as the Vatican seeks allies to defend humanity. Along the way, Abel meets Esther, a young woman who travels with him to Rome to train at the Vatican.
The story brings religious authority and supernatural warfare together in a science-fiction setting. Abel's unusual nature puts him between the human world and the vampires it fears, while Esther's arrival connects the journey to the Vatican's training ground. The threat comes from the Order of Rozencreuz, whose leader, Cain, is Abel's twin. Their plan to seize control of the world raises the stakes beyond the ongoing conflict.
Trinity Blood is a finished TV series from 2005, with 24 episodes. Start at episode 1 to follow Abel and the AX as they confront the Rozencreuz threat.
