With Kyros preparing to leave on royal business, Mio receives permission to reorganize Granado Castle’s staff so Marie can feel at home. Marie shares tea with Mio, welcomes Toppo’s cooking, and faces hostility from Hannah and Ilza when belongings from the House of Shaderan arrive; she also repairs old clothes and joins Johan in the garden, realizing she enjoys cultivating vegetables. Before Kyros departs, he stands up for Marie when palace attendants insult her, while an invitation announces a public event connected to her betrothal.
