Episode 12: Shigofumi

After her father is implicated, Fumika becomes famous at school and online, with people troubling her and attempting to photograph her. Her friends struggle after the mail-carrying Fumika disappears, and Kirameki’s former wife—Fumika’s mother—meets her daughter, says motherhood is not what she wants, and leaves. At Kirameki’s strange house, Fumika nearly takes her life before her counterpart intervenes; their quarrel becomes physical, and the mail carrier hits her other self several times. Fumika says she also wants an ordinary existence rather than vanishing, and her counterpart accepts this; Kaname and Natsuka with Kanaka, plus Chiaki with Matoma, arrive to find the pair weeping together, after which the mail carrier resumes delivering shigofumi while the other Fumika lives independently as a high school student.
