Episode 4: Tears

Fumika brings Ran a substantial letter from the mother who left her in childhood, but Ran’s resentment makes her reject it. Fumika persists, following Ran to her tennis club’s training camp until Ran takes the letter, though she will not open it. After hurting her ankle during a run, Ran remains in the dorm, where a fire puts her in danger. She eventually reads the message and learns her mother had attended every one of her tennis matches.
