Episode 4: Declaration

Haru avoids interfering with a backdoor, but Kuroyukihime becomes unusual when he discusses his growing closeness to Chiyuri. Two gossip club students suggest that her feelings for him are genuine, while Haru dismisses the idea and later earns a slap after reducing himself to the role of a pawn. When a car races toward them, they enter the Accel World, where Kuroyukihime confesses her love and uses a costly technique to push Haru clear, leaving herself to be struck. While she lies in intensive care, Haru stays nearby for protection and recognizes Takumu as Cyan Pile before challenging him.
