Episode 1: Chi Awakens

Hideki leaves the country for the city, where he plans to attend Prep School and prepare for the college entrance exam. He is struck by how widespread mobile computer units called Persocoms are, though their cost puts them beyond his reach. During a night walk, he discovers a cute persocon abandoned in the trash and chooses to take her home, treating the find as a chance to recycle her for his own use.
