Episode 8: Chi Bewildered

Chi's restart control is activated, prompting her to flee the room where the peep show is held. She bounds through the city, switching off persocoms one after another, until exhaustion leaves her unable to keep going; Hideki catches her as she is about to go over a railing. At a bakery celebrating its fifth anniversary, Hideki helps Chi obtain work. The manager then offers her permanent employment, but Chi agrees only after Hideki gives permission. When she tries to hand over her wages, Hideki says the money is hers because she earned it and tells her to spend it on things she likes.
